Summary[edit]

Description

Another common name is: Australian ringneck. Scientific name: Barnardius zonarius,

The 28 Parrot gives a tripled note call sounding like it says 28, 28 as it flies. It is found in the southwest of Western Australia.

In some areas they have been tamed and will sit and feed on tourist's hand. A practice not encouraged as they can give a nasty bite.

They were feeding on the Portulaca weeds in the yard.
