En la sala Iberia se puede visitar la cabina y parte delantera del Boeing 747 “Lope de Vega”, donado por Iberia.

El avión, tras más de 20 años sobrevolando el Atlántico y otras partes del mundo, recorrió una distancia como para ir 200 veces a la Luna y volver, y llevó a una cantidad de pasajeros que dobla la población de Galicia. Su carga más famosa, sin embargo, es un cuadro. En septiembre de 1981 este aparato fue el que trajo en su bodega, desde Nueva York a Madrid, el Guernica de Picasso.

Los visitantes por fin pueden tocar, pensar, sentir y soñar, mientras recorren sus escaleras, “pilotan sus mandos” inspeccionan su tren de aterrizaje delantero, el interior de su caja negra, una sección de ala, el radar o una de las cuatro turbinas de las que disponía.
