Title
260FE2
Description
English: A lead papal bulla issued by Pope Gregory. On one face are the heads of Saints Paul and Peter (SPA SPE). The other face reads GRE/GORIVS/PP [...]. The rendering of the saints is characteristic of the 12th and 13th centuires (c. 1160 - c. 1245 AD), suggesting that this is a bulla of Pope Gregory IX (Professor Robert Gibbs pers. comm. 25 August 2009).
