Description
Español: Torremormojón, provincia de Palencia, España. Iglesia de Santa María del Castillo. Retablo mayor. Abajo en el banco puede verse entre las esculturas de Agustín, Gregorio, Jerónimo y Ambrosio, influencia de Valmaseda; los relieves: Anunciación de Juan de Valmaseda), Piedad y Natividad, atribuido a Francisco Giralte. En el primer cuerpo las esculturas de San Roque (Valmaseda), San Francisco, San Antonio y San Cristóbal. En las calles, tres relieves: Epifanía bajo venera (Valmaseda); Tránsito de la Virgen (atribuido a Juan de Ortiz el Viejo); Matanza de los Inocentes bajo venera. Segundo cuerpo: en las entrecalles las esculturas de los 4 evangelistas, Marcos, Juan, Lucas y Mateo (atribuidos a Valmaseda). En los relieves de las calles: Circuncisión, Asunción (calle principal), Bautismo de Cristo (atribuidos a Valmaseda). Tercer cuerpo:4 esculturas en las entrecalles, Catalina, Magdalena, Miguel y Martín. Relieves de las calles: Huida a Egipto; Coronación de la Viergen en calle central (atribuido por Portela a Juan de Camb ray y por Parrado a Juan Ortiz el Viejo); Cristo entre los doctores. Ático: Calvario en la calle central. Crucifijo de modelos de Valmaseda enmarcado por columnas abalaustradas. A ambos lados tablas de perfil quebrado con Adán y Eva. A su lado otras dos tablas de perfil quebrado con San Pedro y San Pablo. En vértice: tabla con el Padre Eterno.
