Summary[edit]

Description
English: The down home signal at Par in Cornwall. It is on the "wrong" side of the track to improve sighting around the left-hand bend. Signal arm 3 is lowered for a train to enter the down main platform. The other arm is number 7 which signals trains into the loop platform, usually trains for the Newquay branch. There is also a small disc signal hidden by the safety rails, number 10, which is used for shunting moves. The '40/60' sign is a differential speed limit; traditional trains are limited to 40 mph but lightwiehgt trains such as DMUs and HSTs can run at 60 mph towards Lostwithiel.
