Description
Deutsch: Port of Funchal: Der wichtigste Wirtschaftszweig der Stadt ist der Tourismus. Zwar wurde Funchal bereits etwa seit den zwanziger Jahren von Fahrgastschiffen angelaufen, diese mussten damals noch auf Reede vor Anker gehen. Der eigentliche Kreuzfahrttourismus entwickelte sich aber erst nach 1950. In zunehmendem Maße wird der Hafen heute regelmäßig und fast täglich von Kreuzfahrtschiffen der verschiedensten Nationen angelaufen.
