Description
Deutsch: Gedicht an der Hauswand Hebegasse 5, Bernkastel.
1354 war der Trierer Kurfürst Boemund II. auf seinem Sommersitz, der Burg Landshut, zu Gast und wurde schwer krank. Kein Arzt, keine Medizin brachte Besserung. Also ließ er bekannt machen, wer ihm helfen könne, solle kommen. Dafür wollte der Kurfürst auch eine Belohnung zahlen. Das hörte ein Ritter auf der Burg Hunolstein im Hunsrück. Er hatte einen Weinberg in Bernkastel und brachte dem Kurfürsten ein Fass Wein. Der Kurfürst trank davon und wurde gesund. Damit wurde der Bernkasteler Doctor geboren. So heißen seither die Weinlage und der Wein, der oberhalb des Städtchens hier angebaut wird, ein Riesling mit Seltenheitswert. Die Lage ist nur dreieinviertel Hektar groß.
