Broadcasting on San Bruno Mountain, the 1319-foot ridge that isolates San Francisco from the peninsula it terminates. This is the eastern-most tower on the ridge, ASR (antenna structure registration) 1010567. As of August 2018, there are three antennas licensed to the tower: 1) KNDT-TV, long San Jose's channel 11, the NBC affiliate that moved here from Loma Prieta Mountain after San Francisco local KRON-TV, channel 4, left NBC in a cost dispute. It is moving in the "repack" of the TV dial. From FCCinfo— Pre-Repack Channel: 12 Post-Repack Channel: 13 Post-Repack ERP: 103 kW Phase: 9 Completion Deadline: 5/1/2020 Site Location: 37-41-06.5 N 122-26-04.6 W (NAD 83) ERP: 103.1 kW Polarization: Elliptically polarized HAAT: 376.6 m (1236 ft.) Electrical Beam Tilt: 1.5 degrees R/C AGL: 62.1 m (204 ft.) R/C AMSL: 443.4 m (1455 ft.) Site Elevation: 381.3 m. (1251 ft.) Height Overall*: 87.8 m (288 ft.) Directional Antenna - Antenna Make/Model: DIELECTRIC THV-6A12 VP-R C150SP (S) Antenna ID: 64426 Polarization: Elliptically polarized There is also a construction permit for the new antenna, post-repack: ERP: 95 kW Polarization: Elliptically polarized HAAT: 419 m (1375 ft.) Omni-Directional Antenna - Antenna Make/Model: Dielectric THV-11A13/VP-R O4 Antenna ID: 1002261 Polarization: Elliptically polarized Also on the tower is an FM translator for KLVS/107.3 in Livermore. This one is directonal, aimed northwest, with an Effective Radiated Power in that direction of 99 watts. More— Transmitter Output Power: 0.254 kW Antenna Center HAAT: 0 m Antenna Center AMSL: 422 m (1385 ft.) Antenna Center HAG: 40 m (131 ft.) Above that and below a big microwave drum is a 3-bay batwing TV antenna on two panels, one facing northeast and one northwest. There is no license for that one. Pretty sure it's for KNDT's old analog signal, when it moved from Loma Prieta. Mouse over the photo to see which is where. |
