| Description |
English: Kenn Borek Air provides small fixed-wing air support for many different national Antarctic programs, ferrying scientists and cargo to deep field locations. Barrels of fuel strategically located provide a 'gas station' opportunity where it would otherwise not exist. This photo was taken on the Thwaites Glacier in western Antarctica. The United States Antarctic Program (USAP) is collaborating with the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) on a multi-year study of this unstable glacier.
