Description

The 2017 Capitol Christmas Tree is lit in front of the Capitol Building on Tuesday December 5, 2017, during light testing for its lighting ceremony tomorrow night. The tree is 79-foot Engelmann spruce and was chosen from the Kootenai National Forest located in the northwest corner of Montana.

This summer, AOC's Superintendent of the Capitol Grounds spent a few days submersed in the peace, quiet and stunning scenery of the forest to find "the one." Read the full story.
