Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Donald McKay (1810 – 1880) designed and built some of the most successful clipper ships in history.

The Piers Park Sailing Center is a non-profit community sailing organization located at 95 Marginal Street in the Jeffries Point neighborhood of East Boston, Massachusetts. Piers Park was constructed by the Massachusetts Port Authority in 1995 to allow residents access to the waterfront. It was designed by Pressley Associates Landscape Architects, incorporating historic seawalls dating from 1870, and the sailing center was constructed shortly thereafter, but its sailing programs did not begin until 1997. The sailing center utilizes Boston Harbor and offers programs for a variety of ages and skill levels. The center retains the property through an extended $1 lease from MassPort, who also donated the sailing center's fleet of ten 23-foot Sonar keelboats.

Adams Elementary School is located at 165 Webster Street at the corner of Brigham Street in East Boston.
