Description
Deutsch: 05.04.2016 01814 Bad Schandau: Blick von Süden über die Elbe zum Ostrauer Aufzug (GMP: 50.916712,14.161279). Der historische Personenaufzug ist eine 50 Meter hohe, freistehende Eisenkonstruktion, die zum höher gelegenen Ortsteil Ostrau führt. Der Hotelier Rudolf Sendig ließ diesen elektrisch betriebenen Aufzug 1904 durch die Firmen Kelle & Hildebrandt (Eisenkonstruktion) und Kühnscherf & Söhne (Aufzug) errichten. Am Ostersonntag 1905 wurde der Aufzug offiziell eingeweiht. Rechts oben ist klein ein Haus der Sendig-Holzhaussiedlung zu erkennen. Links unten neben dem Aufzug die weiße 1885 erbaute "Russische Villa" die R. Sendig der derzeitigen Kaiserin von Rußland für erholungsbedürftige Offiziere zur Verfügung stellte.
