Summary[edit]

Description
English: Seen in July 2015 from the municipal docks is the bipartite Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM) grain complex in Midland, Ontario, Canada. At left is what was originally known as the Copeland Flour Mills; at right is the Midland Elevator, the last remaining of what were once four grain silos clustered around the harbor. Both were built in 1922 and acquired by their current owners in 1992. The mural on the side of the elevator, depicting an encounter between a Jesuit priest and a First Nations man at the nearby mission of Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, is the work of artist Fred Lenz and was commissioned in 1997 by the Downtown Midland Business Improvement Association. With a surface area of 20,000 square feet (1,850 m²), it's the largest outdoor historic mural in North America.
