Description

Accession: 2015.039.001 Clothing, Bikini, An interesting new addition to Curator Branch's collection is a bikini made by a Photographer's Mate for his fiancée in 1946. The bikini is hand made from parachute cord and the cups are lined with parachute silk. This is a good example of sailor "art."

Collection of Curator Branch: Naval History and Heritage Command.
