Description
English: Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an Emergency Disaster Proclamation on May 11, 2015, certifying that the severe weather, tornado, and flooding event that began on May 4, 2015, caused a disaster in Bosque, Clay, Denton, Eastland, Gaines, Montague, and Van Zandt counties. On May 15, 2015 the proclamation was amended to include Cooke, Grimes, Hood, Navarro, Smith, and Wise counties. Severe weather, tornadoes, and flooding continued in these and other counties in Texas. On May 25, 2015, the following 24 counties were added to the proclamation: Archer, Bastrop, Caldwell, Cass, Collin, Dewitt, Fannin, Grayson, Harrison, Hays, Henderson, Hidalgo, Hill, Houston, Jasper, Johnson, Kendall, Newton, Nueces, Parker, San Jancinto, Walker, Wichita, and Wilson. Another amendment was issued on May 26, 2015, to add Blanco, Bowie, Comal, Garza, Guadalupe, Harris, Red River, Williamson, and Zavala counties. On May 29, 2015, another 24 counties were added: Angelina, Burleson, Cherokee, Edwards, Ellis, Fayette, Gillespie, Kaufman, Lamar, Liberty, Leon, Lynn, Madison, Milam, Real, Refugio, Rusk, Sabine, Travis, Tyler, Uvalde, Victoria, Waller and Wharton.
