Description 동명부대 12진 파병 환송식이 17일 오후 육군7공수여단 (전북 익산 소재) 에서 열렸다. 조정환 육군참모총장 주관으로 거행된 이날 환송식에는 파병준비단장 문병권 중령을 비롯해 308명의 파병 장병과 가족, 군 관계자 등 800여 명이 참석한 가운데 임무완수를 통한 국위선양을 다짐했다. 9대1의 치열한 경쟁을 뚫고 선발된 12진 장병들은 지난해 12월 17일 부터 5주간 파병임무 수행에 필요한 상황별 전술훈련과 기능별 주특기 민사과제 교육 및 이슬람 문화, 아랍어 교욱 등을 이수했으며 최종 점검을 마치고 2개 제대로 나뉘어 오는 28일과 다음달 6일 각각레바논으로 장도에 오른다.
