2012 T456 A Post Medieval gold finger ring
Description
English: A Post Medieval gold finger ring of 1615 date. The ring is a plain band with a "D" shaped cross section. There is a dated inscription running around the inside of the band. It reads "As god hath Apoynted/ o we ar contented". 1615 is inscribed below the "we ar". The letter 's' uses the standard long 's' of the period. There are three letters arranged in a triangle at the start of the inscription: an I on top and T I below. The ring is 21.3mm in diameter, 6.2mm wide, 1..5mm thick and weighs 8.58grams.
