Description
Deutsch: 08.04.2012 16775 Liebenberg (Löwenberger Land), Am Friedhof 1: Die Liebenberger Kirche (GMP: 52.894927,13.258072) schließt sich unmittelbar an das Gelände von Schloß & Gut Liebenberg an. Die mittelalterliche Feldsteinkirche wurde im 13. Jahrhundert im Auftrag der brandenburgischen Bischöfe errichtet. Nach der Zerstörung im Dreißigjährigen Krieg, 1818-1648, wurde die Kirche um 1660 wieder mit einem Holzturm aufgebaut. 1892 wurde die Kirche durch Blitzschlag zerstört. Gutsherr Philipp Graf von Eulenburg, Patronatsherr der Kirche, ließ sie stark verändert in der heutigen Form wieder aufbauen. Die heute zu besichtigende Hertefeld-Gruft an der Kirche müßte bereits zu Beginn des 18. Jahrhunderts bestanden haben, da der Sarg des Gutsherren Samuel von und zu Hertefeld, der 1730 starb, noch vorhanden ist. Die Gruft wurde 1992/93 restauriert.
