Info-graphic about Syria prepared by the United States Central Intelligence Agency in 2011, including a text overview and general map of Syria (including the Golan Heights), with inset maps comparing the size of Iran and the eastern United States and a location map of Syria on an orthographic projection, and a list of major historical events between 1900 and 2011 (including the "Arab Spring" at the start of the Syrian Civil War). Also included are a relief map of Syria's population density and ethno-religious distribution, together with inset maps of Syria's "oil and gas infrastructure" and the Golan Heights ("Israeli-occupied Syria").
