Description
English: Momument for 1913 and Bashi-bazouks, center of Avren (Kardzhali province), Bulgaria. The text says: "In the fall of 1913 42 women, maids and children from the village of Manastir, Gümülcine, were abducted by the Turkish bashi-bazouk and after cruel torturing were killed in the land of the village of Avren at the “Dumanli” site. Let this monument remind that the national enmity is fatal for the nations but the fraternal cooperation – their bright future."
Ελληνικά: Μνημείο για τον πρώτο Βαλκανικό Πόλεμο και την δολοφονία 42 γυναικόπαιδων από τους Οθωμανούς Βασιβουζούκους το 1913, κέντρο του Άβρεν (Κάρντζαλι επαρχία), Βουλγαρία. Το μνημείο γράφει: "Το φθινόπωρο του 1913 42 γυναικόπαιδα από το χωριό Μοναστήρι (σήμερα ανήκει στο Νομό Ροδόπης στην Ελλάδα) Γκιουμουλτζίνα απήχθησαν από Οθωμανούς Βασιβουζούκους και μετά από άγρια βασανιστήρια δολοφονήθηκαν στο χωριό Αβρέν στην τοποθεσία "Ντουμανλί".Ας είναι αυτό το μνημείο υπενθύμιση ότι η εθνική έχθρα είναι μοιραία για τα έθνη αλλά η αδελφική συνεργασία θα συμβάλλει στο λαμπρό μέλλον τους."
