Description
Deutsch: 28.04.2011 04769 Mügeln, Markt: Stadtkirche, Pfarrkirche St. Johannis (GMP: 51.237243,13.047326). Die Stadtkirche St. Johannis in Mügeln wurde 1373 zum ersten Mal genannt. Über diesen mittelalterlichen Vorgängerbau ist jedoch nichts bekannt. Die heutige dreischiffige spätgotische Hallenkirche wurde zwischen 1510 und 1521 eingewölbt. 1869/70 wurde der Innenraum durch Oskar Mothes (1828-1903) im neugotischen Stil umgestaltet. Die Orgel ist ein Werk von Julius Jahn aus dem Jahr 1893. Sie wurde für die damalige Königliche Heil- und Pflegeanstalt Untergöltzsch bei Rodewisch, jetzt Sächsisches Krankenhaus Rodewisch, gebaut. 1966 wurde die Orgel an die Kirche St. Johannis in Mügeln verkauft. Die Firma Jehmlich Orgelbau Dresden hat das Instrument restauriert und neu aufgebaut. [DSCNn2432.TIF]20110428195DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
