Description
Deutsch: 08.03.2011 04758 Lonnewitz (Oschatz), Am Volksplatz: Dorfkirche (GMP: 51.286944,13.139444), kleine Saalkirche romanischen Ursprungs. Erbaut zu Beginn des 13. Jahrhunderts, hat sie nur wenige Umbauten erfahren. In ihrer baulichen Gliederung folgt sie einem damals weit verbreiteten Bautyp. An das rechteckige Langhaus schließt sich der schmaler gebildete, ebenfalls rechteckige Chor an. Der Altar steht in einer halbkreisförmigen Apsis unter einer steinernen Viertelkugelwölbung. Das romanische Kirchlein hatte keinen Turm; der eckige Dachreiter über dem Langhausdach wurde gemäß der Jahreszahl in der Wetterfahne 1653 aufgesetzt.
