Description
Deutsch: 08.03.2011 04758 Wellerswalde (Liebschützberg), Kirchstraße: Dorfkirche (GMP: 51.342872,13.096078), Barockbau von 1706 mit seitlichem Turm auf der Südseite. Turmportel mit Inschrift und Familienwappen derer von Oppel. Während das Herrenhaus des Ritterguts 1948 gesprengt wurde, ist die Dorfkirche, die maßgeblich von den Oppels geprägt wurde, erhalten geblieben. Chor und Nordsakristei der Wellerswalder Kirche stammen noch aus dem späten Mittelalter. Diese Bauteile wurden vermutlich um 1500 errichtet. Das Kirchenschiff und der an die Südseite gesetzte Kirchturm gehören hingegen zu einem barocken Neubau, der 1702 von der Familie von Oppel gestiftet wurde. Die spätgotische Nordsakristei, ausgestattet mit einem kleinteilig gefalteten Zellengewölbe, wurde 1843 zur Grabkapelle und Familiengruft der Adelsfamilie umgestaltet.
