Description
Deutsch: 09.06.2009 01069 Dresden-Südvorstadt: Bergstraße / Ecke Zellescher Weg am Fritz-Foerster-Platz: Neue Mensa (GMP: 51.029063,13.731782) der TU Dresden. Erbaut wurde die Mensa in Stahlsekelettbauweise von 1974 bis 1978 nach Plänen von Ulf Zimmermann, E. Seeling und O. Jarner. Plangemäß hat sie 5 Speisesäle mit 800 Plätzen, Speisebar, Erfrischungsraum, Bierstube sowie Mehrzweckräume mit instgesamt 347 Plätzen. 2009 wurde die erste Etage der Mensa gesperrt, da der Fußboden die Belastung von Tanzveranstaltungen nicht aushält. 2008 wurde das Gebäude unter Denkmalschutz gestellt.
