Description
Deutsch: 04.04.2009 04509 Kleinwölkau (Schönwölkau): Kirchplatz: Patronatskirche (GMP: 51.497105,12.497462). Frühbarockbau, Kreuzgewölbe mit Stuckrippen in Form von Girlanden. 1659 hatte der Kurfürstlich Sächsische Kammerherr und Rittmeister Christoph Vitzthum von Eckstädt das Rittergut Wölkau erstanden. Er entschloß sich später, auch die Kirche in Kleinwölkau neu aufbauen zu lassen. Baubeginn war 1680, 1684 wurde der Turmknopf aufgesetzt. Baumeister war Johann Georg Steinböck, Steinmetz aus Dresden. Der Kirchenbau war Ende 1687 abgeschlossen. Die feierliche Einweihung erfolgte am 25. Januar 1688 durch den damaligen Superintendenten D. Kunad aus Eilenburg. Im 18. Jahrhundert folgte eine Kirchenreparatur der anderen. 1845 wurde die Kirche wegen Baumängeln geschlossen und nach deren Beseitigung 1855 wieder eingeweiht. 1905 mußte die Bausubstanz erneut gesichert werden. Trotzdem stürzte 1969 das Gewölbe ein. Ab 1992 wurden umfangreiche Sicherungsmaßnahmen durchgeführt. [DSCN35995.TIF]20090404125DR.JPG(c)Blobelt
