Description
English: Enamelled memorial finger ring with internal inscription:

IN NOSTRI MEMORIA

followed by unusual symbol.

This very small gold ring is enamelled on the exterior with a wreath in alternate bands of pale blue and white; the inside inscribed: 'In nostri memoria', with either a date-letter or a maker's mark, the letter F in a shaped shield.

This is a type of ring that could be 17th or early 18th century, but as it has not proved possible to identify the mark, we do not have enough evidence to confirm a pre-1708 date.

The ring can not be securely dated to pre-1708 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
