Summary[edit]

Description

The VZ Commodore was built from August 2004- August 2006. Not only was this another slight facelift to the front and rear styling, the VZ got the new more powerful and more fuel efficent 3.6 DOHC Alloytec engine replacing the old 3.8 ECOTEC, also the V8 increased size to the L76 6.0 litre. Sedans available were; Executive, Acclaim, Berlina, Calais, SV6, SV8 and SS. The commercial line consisted of the utility, one tonner and Crewman. The 2 door Monaro was available in CV6, CV8 and HSV improved GTO, GTS and Coupe 4. HSV also built performance sedans for Holden, available were; Clubsport, R8, GTS, Senator and Grange. Also Maloo ute. The HSV Maloo Ute got 19-inch alloy wheels, climate control, cruise control, fog lamps, automatic headlights, central locking, power mirrors and windows, trip computer and an immobiliser. The Maloo was also fitted with a limited slip differential. The Maloo R8 added leather seats, a cargo liner and hard tonneau cover.
