Description
Deutsch: 31.10.2006 01067 Dresden-Wilsdruffer Vorstadt, Ostra-Allee 20: Haus der Presse (GMP: 51.057554,13.729089), Sitz der Sächsischen Zeitung mit 46 m hohem, 13geschossigem Redaktionsgebäude in der damaligen Julian-Grimmau-Allee. Erstes DDR-Hochhaus in Stahlskelett-Montagebauweise mit Fertigelementen. Gebaut wurde es nach Plänen der Architekten Wolfgang Hänsch und Herbert Löschau in den Jahren 1958 bis 1965 als Druckerei- und Verlagskomplex. 1966 wurde das Gebäude als "Bestes Bauwerk der Stadt Dresden" mit einem Architekturpreis ausgezeichnet. Bei der Flut 2002 wurde das Haus der Presse von der Weißeritz und später von der Elbe geflutet. Im Jahr 2003 wurde das Gebäude saniert und erhielt eine neue, kupfergrüne Verkleidung aus 4000 Glasscheiben von Martin Seelinger. Auf der Verkleidung, hier im Bild, sind lose Folgen von Typographien als Schmuck angebracht worden. Als Inspiration dienten Texte aus Vilém Flussers Buch Vogelflüge.
