Description
Deutsch: 07.05.2006 09123 Klaffenbach (Chemnitz), Wasserschloßweg 6: Wasserschloß Klaffenbach (GMP: 50.769007,12.888813). Das Renaissanceschloß des einstigen Ritterguts Neukirchen wurde früher auch Hünerkopfs Haus genannt. Schloß und Rittergutshof wurden in der Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts erbaut, nachdem der Annaberger Münzmeister Wolf Hünerkopf 1543 die einstmals dem Chemnitzer Kloster gehörenden Dörfer Neukirchen, Klaffenbach und Burkhardtsdorf gekauft hatte. Er gründete mit kurfürstlicher Bewilligung das Rittergut Neukirchen. Nach einigen Besitzerwechseln erwarb 1934 die Gemeinde Klaffenbach das verschuldete Schloß. Ab 1935 vom Reichsarbeitsdienst genutzt. Ab 1947 war es Mädchenheim des Jugenamtes und von 1949 bis 1990 Jugendwerkhof für 14 bis 18 jährige Mädchen. Von 1992 bis 1997 wurde das Schloß saniert. Der zugeschüttete Wassergraben wurde 1992 bis 1994 wieder freigelegt. Schloß Klaffenbach hat ein sonst nirgends bekanntes kreuzförmig durchdrungenes Kielbogendach.
