Description

True Blue. Fords Pony car, the Mustang was first introduced in April, 1964. The 4th generation Mustang, the SN-95, was introduced in 1994, built around existing power train and chassis, the body was replaced by a stronger swoopier style coupe, a convertible was also available in all models. The 1999 facelift saw a tougher look with sharper contours, the interior and roofline remained unchanged. 2001 Mustangs smoked headlamps from the 2000 Cobra R's. Models available in 2002 were; The base Coupe or Convertible got the 3.8 V6 and 5 speed manual. The GT, standard 215hp 4.6 V8, better suspension, side scoops, a raised hood scoop and a new rear spoiler. The SVT Cobra, independent rear suspension, high performance 320hp 4.6 V8, 17 in alloys, unique front fascia and rear spoiler. Engines; 193hp 3.8 V6, 260 and 320hp 4.6 V8s

In 2001, 250 Cobras were sent to Tickford Special Vehicles in Australia. Identified by auxilary high beam headlamps in the front bumper. Over 250 changes were made to floorpans, dashboards, steering, windscreens, wiring, lights and exhausts, to meet Australian Design Rules and to convert them to right hand drive.
