The Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor is a rear wheel drive, V8, four door body on frame sedan that was manufactured by Ford from 1992 to 2011. During this time, it was the most widely used automobile in law enforcement operations in the United States and Canada. The 1992-97 first generation got the aero look. In 1993, it got a chrome front grille and a reflector strip between the taillights. 1995 another revised grille and taillights The 1998-2011 second generation got the more conservative styling of the Mercury Grand Marquis. In 1999, they got a chrome-trimmed gloss black rear fascia and a gloss black slatted grille 2000, the rear fascia lost the chrome trim, now flat black slatted grille 2001, a new honeycomb-style grille. 2003 got new wheels, almost flat, compared to the concave wheels on earlier years 2006, 16 in wheels up to 17, hubcaps from chrome, now flat grey. 2009, new door mouldings 2002 Engine; 187kw 4.6 Modular V8 |
