1st Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery standdown at Nui Dat, March 1970

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Nui Dat, South Vietnam. March 1970. Surrounded by rubber trees at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) base, the 1st Field Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery, completes its year long tour of duty in the war zone. The 1st Field Regiment, ending its second tour, handed over to the 4th Field Regiment, also on its second tour. The parade was marked by the ceremonial firing of one red and one blue smoke round in the Nui Dinh hills, west of 1ATF base. Red and blue are traditional artillery colours.
