English: Underneath an original overpass of the Long Island Motor Parkway (a.k.a. the Vanderbuilt Parkway) at the western edge of Cunningham Park, on 73rd Avenue between 199th Street and Francis Lewis Boulevard in Fresh Meadows, Queens. It was likely the first grade-separated highway in the U.S., but was closed in 1938 and converted into a cycleway as part of Cunningham and Kissena Corridor Parks. Note that the plaque under the bridge reads 1926, meaning that this bridge was in service for only around a decade. |
