Summary[edit]

Description
English: 1996 Ford Taurus LX photographed in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. This Taurus is equipped with the 3.0L V6 engine, and assembled in Chicago, Illinois. The 1996 model year was the first for this generation of Taurus. This is the pre-facelift model, as shown by the split bumper and different grille. These rather strange design choices is what led the Taurus to be overtaken by the Camry in 1997, and while it was the best-selling car for 1996 in the United Stats, half of those were fleet sales. I like this generation, especially the pre-facelift, but the design choices led many Americans to not, so I was suprised seeing one, especially a pre-facelift model like this.
