Description
English: Medieval copper alloy key, 33.5mm long, 11mm wide at the loop and 4.5 wide at the shaft. The key weighs 3.03 grams and has a green/brown patina. The loop is circular in section and form and is 11mm in diameter with a 2mm thickness. The shaft is oval in section and 12mm long, 4mm wide and 3mm deep. The bit, which is rectangular tapers to a point and has one notch cut out of its upper surface and two from the bottom, it is 11mm wide and 7mm deep. The key is most probably for a casket and is quite delicate.
