Summary[edit]
Description1979 DP Motorsport DP935 I in Guards Red, front left.jpg |
English: 1979 Porsche 911/930 Turbo, DP Motorsport DP935 I for two-time Le Mans driver (Joest Racing) and real estate magnate Ernst Kraus. This Porsche 930 was delivered new to Mahag in Munich in October 1978 and sent on to DP Motorsport in Overath for modifications to DP935 I specifications, which were completed in 1980. Car has full DP 1 aero package, fibreglass front end and widened fenders to fit RSR 15x9 and 15x11 Fuchs wheels. It is finished in the original factory Guards Red.
Mechanically, the car benefits from a Ruf tuned engine and a Ruf 5-speed dogleg box with limited-slip differential. It also has a larger Ruf intercooler, a Ruf airbox, an oil cooler, and Bilstein dampers. On the inside there is an adjustable boost knob, factory LED boost gauge, driver's side racing seat with a fixed back, a roll bar, period Blaupunkt Bamberg stereo, and a Momo steering wheel. It remained in Europe until 2020, and then sold to a Florida-based Posrche collection. Seen at a Cars & Coffee at Autosport Designs in Long Island. |
