Description

Sebring Orange The HT Holden was built from May 1969-July 1970. Mainly just a facelift on the HK, the HT Holden got a new plastic grille, new taillights, wider back window, the long rectangular speedo was replaced by round gauges. The US 307 V8 was dropped in favour of the new Australian made 253 and 308 V8s. The Chevrolet 350 replacing the 327. Like the HK, the HT sedan was available in four models; The base Belmont, then Kingswood, luxury Premier and the longer body Brougham. Also available was a wagon, utility and panel van. And the Monaro 2 door coupe; available in base, sporty GTS and race ready GTS 350. The GTS got full instrumentation, twin air scoops in the bonnet, vents in the guards and racing stripes. The Monaro became the basis for a car that was very competitive on the race track winning at Bathurst. HDT entered three Monaros in the 1969, the lead car driven by Colin Bond and Tony Roberts Engines; red 6 cyl; 145hp 186S
