Summary[edit]

Description
English: 1969 AMC Javelin SST. Built by American Motors Corporation (AMC), this is a sporty two-door hardtop (no B-pillar) "pony car". It is finished Castillian (that is how AMC spelled it) Gray metallic (paint code P63) with the optional black bodyside stripes (with a thin red line) and the Javelin's interior is in red. This car has AMC's 290 cu in (4.8 L) V8 engine with a center console-mounted automatic transmission. Perfectly complementing this car are AMC's optional full chromed "Magnum" styled steel road wheels. The radio is the factory AM unit. The steering wheel is the original wood-grained "sport" version that was part of the SST trim level (along with the accents on the door panels and center of the dashboard). The bucket seat upholstery has been replaced. Photographed during the May 2021 Regional Meet of the Delaware Valley chapter of the American Motors Owners Association (AMO) and the Mid-Atlantic Classic AMX AMC Club (MACAC). The show was held at the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, where this car was in their indoor display.
