Summary[edit]
Description1969 AMC AMX SS Hurst factory dragcar as Cotton Candy at AMO 2015 meet 01.jpg |
English: 1969 AMC AMX Super Stock Hurst factory drag car that was campaigned as "Cotton Candy". This is vehicle #11 out of 52 that were special factory prepared by AMC (American Motors Corporation) and Hurst Performance for drag racing. The two-seat, GT-type sports coupe has minimum comfort features such as no heater nor windshield wipers, but is powered by AMC's 390 CID (6.4 L) V8 engine with twin Holley carburetors and 12.3:1 compression-ratio that was factory rated at 340 hp, but the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) ultimately rated it at 420 horsepower. Picture taken during the American Motors Owners Association (AMO) annual convention that was held July 2015 near Cleveland, Ohio. |
