| Description |
The Plymouth was introduced in 1928, Chryslers lowest priced car. Up to 1960, Plymouths were all a full size car. From 1960 the full size Savoy, Belvedere and Fury were available as well as a new compact car, the Valiant. The Valiant was produced by Plymouth in the US and a similar car was produced and sold as a Chrysler in Australia. Introduced in 1960, a 2 and 4 door Sedan and a Wagon, base model V100 and the upmarket V200 1963 saw a completely new wider, flatter body. The base model V100 was available in 2 or 4 door Sedan and Wagon. The upmarket V200, also available in 2 or 4 door Sedan , Wagon and also a Convertible. The new premium Signet was introduced in 1963, with bucket seats, it was available in 2 door Hardtop and Convertible. The 1964 Valiant saw a grille and taillight facelift and again in 1966. Also in 1964, the 2 door Barracuda fastback was introduced. Engine; 170 or 225 cu in slant 6 cyl or 273 V8 |
