De Nederlander Maus Gatsonides heeft 2 modellen van de Gatso gebouwd, de Gatso 400 en de Gatso 1500. Van de 400 bestaat waarschijnlijk geen enkele exemplaar meer. Met de Gatso 1500 is hij echter nooit verder gekomen dan één prototype, bijgenaamd 'Platje' (1949). Die naam slaat op de zeer laag gebouwde carrosserie, getekend door Jan Apetz. In Platje is een zescilinder 1500-motor van Fiat gebruikt. Gatsonides heeft Platje zelf voor enkele wedstrijden en een recordpoging gebruikt. Platje is het enige exemplaar van het merk Gatso dat nog bestaat, Maus Gatsonides werd later bekend bij het grote publiek door zijn flitspalen en radarsystemen voor snelheidsmetingen. |
