Summary[edit]

Description
English: 1944 crash site: all that remains Lumps of molten metal fused with earth and a few bits and pieces from the B-24 Liberator aircraft still touchingly linger to mark the spot where 6 men died, although much has been taken for souvenirs. In 1999 a family discovered a signet ring bearing the Canadian pilot's initials and it was returned to his sister. A wreath is fastened to a wooden post up here each Remembrance Day.
