Description
English: 1939 Sunbeam-Talbot 2-Liter Sports Tourer, sold for $26,880 at the Bonhams auction attached to the 2018 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. Uses the 1944 cc side-valve inline four-cylinder from the Hillman 14/Humber Hawk, here fitted with a single carb and producing 36bhp at 3800 rpm. 4-speed manual, drum brakes and leaf springs all around. Used to belong to the Cunningham family, who kept it at their Connecticut estate for many years.
