English: A 1938 MG TA Tickford three-position Drophead Coupé at the 2018 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. One of 252 bodied by Tickford, with custom coachwork by Salmons & Sons (lots of people involved in this one). Body code 4111, finished in the original "MG County Cream." Lockheed hydraulic brakes with Alfin drums, four-speed transmission with unsynched first. 1292cc OHV inline-four with twin SU 1 1/4" HV3 pre-war bronze-body carburators. Central lubrication system for the front and rear spring mounts and brake cable. 12 Volt, Positive Ground. Build date is 1938-08-16 and the engine number is MPJG 2841. |
