Русский: На цветном снимке, сделанном в 1897 году компанией "Детройт Паблишинг Кампани", изображена Главная выставка искусств и промышленности Стокгольма. В конце XIXи в началеХХ веков в странах с высокоразвитой промышленностью устраивались крупные международные выставки для того, чтобы представить достижения промышленности и науки, а также пробудить чувство национальной гордости населения. Подобные выставки проводились в 1855, 1867, 1878 и 1889 годах в Париже, в 1873 году в Вене, в 1876 году в Филадельфии и в 1893 году в Чикаго. Время проведения выставки в Стокгольме совпалос празднованиями 25-ой годовщины восшествия на престол короля Оскара II. На выставке было представлено машинное оборудование и товары массового потребления, произведенные в Швеции и других странах. В ходе проведения выставки были организованы развлекательные мероприятия для посетителей. На фотографии изображена главная архитектурная изюминка выставки — Зал промышленности. Четыре минарета и центральный купол Зал являются имитацией мечети Хагия София в Стамбуле. Выставка была открыта 15 мая, в день именин королевы Софии. À la fin du 19ème et au début du 20ème siècle, les pays industrialisés organisaient des expositions internationales à grande échelle pour présenter leurs réalisations scientifiques et industrielles et susciter un sentiment de fierté nationale dans le pays. Ces expositions ont été présentées à Paris en 1855, 1867, 1878 et 1889, à Vienne en 1873, à Philadelphie en 1876, et à Chicago en 1893. L'exposition de Stockholm a été programmée pour coïncider avec le 25ème anniversaire de l'accession au trône du roi Oscar II. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, industrialized countries organized large-scale international exhibitions to showcase their industrial and scientific achievements and to appeal to national pride at home. Such exhibitions were mounted in Paris in 1855, 1867, 1878, and 1889, Vienna in 1873, Philadelphia in 1876, and Chicago in 1893. The Stockholm exhibition was timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of King Oscar II’s accession to the throne. It featured displays of machinery and consumer goods from Swedish and foreign companies, as well as entertainments for the public. Shown in the photograph is the principal architectural icon of the exhibition, the Hall of Industry. With its four minarets and central cupola, the hall was patterned after the Hagia Sofia Mosque in Istanbul. The exhibition opened on May 15, the name day of Queen Sofia, in the presence of the Swedish royal family and dignitaries from other countries.
