Description
English: 1890s Amoskeag Self-propelled Steam Fire Engine with standing boiler. Double chain drive, reverse gear, steering wheel. Removal of a key switches power from moving the car to operating the pump. Amoskeag fire engines were made to meet high quality standards, but they also were expensive, and heavy (8-9 tons)
