| Description |
English: Tollbugaten 10/12, Tollergården, ca 1870. Keywords in source: Gamle Krigsskolen, bygårder, Elephant-Apotheket, menn. The "Tollergården" is the main motiv, with its long facade and huge arc. Erected ca 1637 by Niels Toller (the elder), since 1707 an apothecry/chemist. Demolished 1874. Assume this is in the early 1870s then. Not sure when S.B.Mejdell was active photographer. He photographed various apothec/chemist buildings around Norway. Seems to have been his specialty, perhaps he was a pharmacist? |
