Description
Deutsch: Lithografie des lutherischen Theologen und Predigers an der Martinskirche in Braunschweig Heinrich Julius Ludwig Assmann (1766–1839), wohl Ende der 1830er Jahre geschaffen durch den Stecher August Dankworth nach einem Gemälde von Johann Heinrich Engelbert Neumann, gedruckt im lithographischen Institut von August Wehrt in Brauschweig. Das Blatt mit den Maßen 556 x 434 mm (hier ein Ausschnitt) findet sich in der Porträtsammlung der Herzog-August-Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel. Die Abbildung in den Maßen circa 340 x 290 mm zeigt den Geistlichen in Halbfigur nach rechts in seinem Talar, mit Mühlradkragen und einem Birett vor einen nur angedeutetem Hintergrund. Unterhalb des Bildes findet sich ein faksimilierter Autograph mit den Worten

„Der Herr ist stark in den Schwachen!
Heinrich Julius Ludwig Assmann
Prediger an der Martinskirche in Braunschweig.“
