CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (Sept. 12, 2018) Cots are set up at an emergency shelter, Sept. 12, 2018, at U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., as Hurricane Florence approaches the East Coast. It is expected that this destructive weather system will impact Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River with periods of strong winds, heavy rains, flooding of urban and low lying areas, potential flash floods and coastal storm surges.
