BLACK SEA (Feb. 28, 2018) – Ship's Serviceman Seaman Darnell Thomas wears a joint service lightweight integrated suit technology and M50 gas mask while checking for chemical, biological, radiological contamination during mission oriented protected posture training on the flight deck aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64), in the Black Sea, Feb. 28, 2018. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its fourth patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners, and U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
